Your about text
Your about text comes from the information you gave us at onboarding. It's the part of your site that tells customers who you are and how you work. After launch, you change it through the change-request form.
How to change it
Use the change-request form:
- Under where on the site, say about text.
- Under what it says now, paste the current text, or just the part you want changed.
- Under what it should say, write the new version exactly as you want it to read.
Updating your about text is a content change, so it's free.
Stick to what's true
A request with numbers or superlatives you can't back up is sent back. That includes calling yourself the top company in town, or quoting a review count you can't show.
What works instead: what you do, and how you do it. Say what kind of work you take on, where you work, and anything a customer would want to know before they call, as long as it's true.
Your tagline works the same way
Your tagline works the same way. To change it, use the same form: say tagline under where on the site, copy the current line, and write the new one. That's also a content change, so it's free.
Before you send
There's one active request at a time, and unclear requests may be sent back with a question. Read your new text out loud once before you send it.
